Motorcycle collides with car near First Avenue in Tucson Saturday

Tucson Police Section states a guy is useless right after a motor vehicle collision near North 1st Avenue and East Limberlost Drive on Saturday.

Officers responded to reports at 5:10 p.m. of a “significant-harm” collision involving a pink 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and a blue 2019 Yamaha YZFR3 motorbike.

Prior to police arrival, Tucson firefighters responded and began dealing with those involved, sooner or later transporting the motorbike rider to Banner College Professional medical Heart with life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle rider was recognized as Blaine Martineau, 53. He died en route to the clinic, police explained.

Primarily based on interviews, officers established that the driver of the Cobalt attempted to make a still left switch from a business situated on the northeast corner of the intersection onto southbound 1st Avenue.

As the driver was generating the flip, the Yamaha, touring northbound on 1st Avenue, collided with the Cobalt.
