1 dead in crash involving motorcycle in Cobb County


The incident took place on April 22, law enforcement reported, on Powder Springs Highway.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A gentleman died right after he was strike by a vehicle, driving his bike in Cobb County, police stated. 

Investigators stated the crash happened on April 22, all around 2:09 p.m. on Powder Springs Road at the Windy Hill Road and Macland Highway intersection.

A white 2018 Toyota Camry was headed south in the left lane of Powder Springs, and a blue 2006 Suzuki GSX750 Katana motorbike was likely north on the street, Cobb County Police explained.

The law enforcement department claimed the Toyota turned remaining on Windy Hill Highway on a flashing yellow switch gentle, correct in entrance of the motorbike. The motorcycle’s driver, law enforcement stated, attempted to brake but hit the passenger aspect of the Toyota. 

Following they collided, investigators mentioned the Toyota arrived to an “uncontrolled” prevent near the crosswalk, the motorcycle finished up in the intersection. 

Police explained the driver of the motorcycle was discovered as 55-year-outdated Perry Pless. He was taken to the hospital, in which he afterwards died officials reported the driver of the Toyota was not damage and refused clinical awareness.
